PXI (PCI Extensions for Instrumentation) is based upon the CompactPCI bus, with data transfer rates up to 132 MHz, and is optimized for measurement, control, and automation of test systems. KineticSystems PXI and CompactPCI data acquisition products are based on a modular architecture and provide integrated timing and synchronization between Instrumentation to maximize system performance and accuracy. PXI adopted the plug&play software standards of VXI, and as a result, PXI systems are interoperable with VXI systems.
