Vibrating Wire - NATM Shotcrete Stress Cells

The VW NATM type shotcrete stress cells are designed to measure radial and tangential stress in shotcrete tunnel linings, The cell consists of a rectangular pressure pad constrcted from two stainless steel plates welded around the periphery. The pressure pad is connected to a Vibrating Wire pressure sensor through a 6 mm  OD X 165 mm long stainless steel tube. The cavity inside the pressure pad and pressure sensor is filled with de-aired fluid. A  Inflation Valve is provided to inflate the pressure pad after concrete around it has fully cured, toensure proper contact between pad and surrounding concrete. The "Pressure Pads" are supplied with different dimensions, and pressure ranges to suit the client requirements. A thermister is incorporated in the pressure sensor, for temperature measurement.
